A few years ago, one of the oldest players in the market—Flexcar—merged with Zipcar, now the dominant company. Today Zipcar (zipcar.com) boasts a fleet of 6,500 vehicles in 13 major markets and college campuses across North America and London. Among those locations are Atlanta, Boston, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
